And thanks Shiela, Whew---I'm glad to hear I'm not totally alone. I know your surgery was a while ago, but do you recall how long your pain in your thighs lasted? or if there anything I can do to help?

I saw my plastic surgeon today. He didn't know why I have pain in my thighs so he suggested we play the wait and see game.

He said in all his 20+ years of performing reconstructions, he had never seen capsular scarring as thick and hard as mine was---it was over 1/2 inch---mostly from radiation. No wonder I was in so much pain. I took off the compression bra and these girls are so soft---Wow! I was surprised to see my incision lines were just as long as my original mastectomy incisions. He had trimmed up the incision line scarring and put in all new black stitches --- made everything so much smoother and symetrical. And loosened the muscles under my armpits and he moved the babies closer together and out of my armpits. I go back in three weeks to get the stitches removed. I can't express how happy I am to have those darn expanders out and with the new results!!! I won't know how much pain has been eliminated yet, but I know the pressure is a great deal less. And Thank goodness for Motrin and Vicodyn!
