Ed failed on the Tykerb/Xeloda combo and we had a 3 month supply of both. In the state of Rhode Island (maybe other states-unsure) we are allowed by the government to give back any/all prescriptions to the Oncologist for further dispensing. We were without medical insurance at the time we needed these drugs so we did go through the drug company to get them issued for free. When we did give them back we asked the doctor to dispense them in the same state we are in and to the person without insurance who needs them the most until they can contact the drug company themselves. Luckily I could do the leg work because anyone with bc that has to do these errands are usually too ill to fight THAT fight!!

My question for you is: If we can get this drug to your girlfriend, would the doctor start her sooner that Jan 2008?? I could do the leg work to see what I can do with our Oncologist to send them to her doctor. Please let me know if this is an option or if I can help in any other way. It would surely make my day to give back to you. Let me know, e-mail me as soon as you have a moment, I would love to help if I am able. I do know that some of these drugs DO GO OUT OF OUR COUNTRY for reasons like this, usually they are expired drugs, but not in this case (cancer)>>Believe51
