My Green Shoes

When I look down at my feet and I see my Green Shoes,
I shall not cry, I will push away the blues.

For the one thing you taught me was how to stay strong,
To get ready for the fight because it may be long.

I look at my sick husband and what do I see?
An Angel is inside and her name is Sandy!

I thank you for the wisdom, the support and the love,
And I know you are smiling down from above.

Because my Green Shoes are on and they remind me of you,
So with that in mind, now how can I be blue?
