No, I don't think that is a sign of brain mets. I was 3 years out of treatment for my first round of breast cancer - just stage 1, when I did a similar thing.
I took all three of my sons off to get new health cards for us all. We had to take lots of ID, and I needed to make sure they all looked moderately presentable. The place was miles away in an area that I wasn't familiar with and I was a little worried about being late.
Well we got it all done and were back at the parking lot when I heard a car running. When we got to the car and I couldn't find my keys, I realized it was our car. Unlike you I had carefully locked the car. Our city has a no idle by-law so I was locked out with 3 kids, miles from home, facing a ticket, and perhaps running out of gas. We all took the bus home, I got a spare key and took the bus back. Amazingly the car which had been running for about 4 hours by then had used very little gas and there was no ticket.
Not brain mets, just a woman multitasking beyond her ability.
