When I first started down this long road, I saw my oncologist everytime I went to the office. I now only see my oncologist once every three months, but I do see the NP every time I go to the office. At first I didn't like seeing the NP but I have found that she will answer all my questions and if she can't then she will get in touch with the oncologist and call me back. Also, the NP will order any tests that I request. I know that she runs my requests by the oncologist first. I was resentful of paying a co-pay to see a NP but now I have adjusted. Have you thought about going out of network even though you would have to pay for it out of pocket?

March 2008 lung met progression, brain still clear - begin Tykerb/Xeloda/Ixempra
