Belinda,

I had a bilateral mastectomy even though my cancer was only in my right breast. When I was initially diagnosed they did CT scan, bone scan, and an MRI of the left breast. The MRI showed a 8mm area that they felt was benign and I also had a lot of microcalicifaction. I decided right then and there for the bilateral and I have no regrets.
