As a former hairstylist, it could be because of the chemicals that are still in your hair from the chemo. Our hair is like a sponge and absorbs what's in our body. I use to alway clarify hair before coloring or perming. Although, coloring hair is never an exact science anyway. My first color after chemo was not right. I've gotten better coverage since then though...sherryg683
