Once you are diagnosed with brain mets, as Christine was in 1999, it is recommended that you do follow up MRI's on a regular basis. Christine and her radiation oncologist felt that every 6 months should be suffiicient.

Now that she had a recent recurrence, they will do follow up MRI's every 3 months for the first year and then every 6 months after that if she has no further problems.

Both Christine and Dr. Hodgens, her radiation oncologist are very optimistic at this point.
