No they didn't do a strep test at the er, just said that was what it was after looking at his throat. He did have abdominal pain when we took him to the er and they said a lot of people get upset stomachs with strep, which I remember he used to do when he was younger. So I really didn't think anything about that. I did mention that there have been several kids at the high school here with mon and he said you can't test for that till after two weeks, but our family doc did. They gave him medrol, which is the steroid. And the antibiotic is cefdinir. He has been sleeping, just about 24 hours a day since last Saturday. He can go to scholl for half days starting Monday, but no advanced gym class and he can't go back to work. And Indiana passed a law that seniors in high school has to get the hep b and they are postponing that till he's better. No other meds, though I think he needs something for all of the phlem he has.
