Sinus problems: a new cause found in loss of nasal immunity.

Of the many causes of sinus infections are fungus, bacteria, viral, alergic agents with fungus the most common. Blockage of mucus in sinus cavities due to a primary fungus infection can give rise to secondary bacterial or viral infections. Thus the importance of keeping all nasal passages open.

In the following article a new cause of sinus problems is described involving reduced nasal immunity. This sounds perhaps closer to what is hapening in the case of Herceptin & some other cancer treatments causing sinus infections .

I would like to recall one way found (by trial & error) to stop chronic sinus infections using annual Kenalog injections as described in this web site not related to cancer:

I personally used the same treatment for chronic sinus problems (not related to cancer treatment) with success.
