Vanessa,

Christine experienced both weight gain and diabetes from Decodron, which I am assuming was the steroid that you were taking.

Since then, she has joined a local walking group which walks about 5 km 3 mornings a week and closely monitors her blood sugar. She also checks the sugar content of all foods that she purchases.

She is now down to her pre-decadron weight and has reduced her diabetes medicine by 75% and is doing quite well.
