dear sandy hope your pug is feeling better now. i can understand your sadness, i was so heartbroken when my 6yr old pug died in an accident last year, right in front of our house. he just across the road and got hit by the oncoming truck... it was such a messy and horrible, till today i cnt forget nor erase it from my memory. my husband had to haul me away from the accident site, aas i was in deep shock. my pug, Boris was like my own kid...
all i can say is to keep faith and pray that he gets well soon
