Jane, Were you by any chance on the TC-H combo? I have some hearing loss and it can be a side effect of Carboplatin. I went to an ENT and they did a hearing test on me and I have the hearing of a person 10 years my senior.

Don't know if anyone else on this combo had hearing loss or not, but I too, was tired of having people repeat things to me. I can't hear my cell phone ring in my purse, my daughter has to tell me it's ringing....
It's frustrating! If you were on Carbo you might want to go and get them checked by an ENT and see if there is an infection or if indeed you do have some hearing loss, I hope not. My best to you.
