Re: Reaction with re-load dose of Herceptin?

weety - they told me that if the break in Herceptin is only a week then you just carry on with normal dose. Mine was over a week late (3 weeks actually) and that is why I had a re-load.

Re: Reaction with re-load dose of Herceptin?

Jackie - I have not heard of the 12 week one. I have heard about a study on 9 doses being sufficient. So, I may be continuing when I don't really need to. I suppose I may as well do it all just in...

Re: Reaction with re-load dose of Herceptin?

I didn't stop because of Herceptin problems. I have not had any problems or side effects from that. I stopped because of personal problems - nothing to do with Her or cancer.

Question Reaction with re-load dose of Herceptin?

I had to take a break from Herceptin of 3 weeks. I've had 15 out of 18.

I have to choose whether to restart or not. Am I more likely to get a reaction by going back on it again do you think? I...

Smile Re: Bone mets, osteoporosis and strontium

Wow thanks for that. Gives me some hope. I turned down the bone strengtheners because of the horrendous possible side effects, even though I already have oesteoporosis.

I will speak to Naturopath...

Re: Don't understand echo reading

alichem - I've no idea how much CoQ10 to take. I started on 100mg, but don't like the gels so now have 30mg which I thought is better than nothing and easier to swallow!

Hopefully someone will...

Re: Her-2 and hormone therapy?

Karen - I turned down Arimidex because of side effects and am doing Natural Progesterone instead, alongside the Herceptin. Hope I have made an OK decision. I feel I am doing something then. You...

Re: Don't understand echo reading

Thank you everyone - very helpful.

I have been taking CoQ10. I wonder if that is why mine has gone from 59 to 64?

Re: Good Advice?

I had a clear mammo, then 5 months later found a lump in shower, by chance. I sat on it for 6 weeks thinking, well, I had a clear mammo so it can't be cancer, I won't bother anyone about it!

Question Don't understand echo reading

My base echo (before treatment) was 59. I had an echo done after 4 Herceptins and it's gone up to 64.

This means nothing to me. Is high or low good? My Onc. said not to worry about echo...

Re: Does Herceptin lower red blood cells?

wolverine fan - what did your onc. say about blood counts?

I'm sure my red must be down because I can't stop yawning as if brain not getting enough oxygen. My onc. denies it affects counts. She...

Does Herceptin lower red blood cells?

I know you gals in US get regular blood tests on Herceptin, but here in UK we don't.

Am sure I read somewhere that it affects blood counts, red and white. Anyone know?

Question Headache, Bruxism on Herceptin anyone?

I have suffered with Bruxism (teeth grinding) during my sleep for years, which gives me a constant headache.

I'm pretty sure Herceptin is making it worse. Has anyone else had headaches on it...

Re: Kidney issues -anyone else?

Glad I found this post. I have been complaining about peeing excessively especially during the night, but Onc. just looks blank and won't admit to it being chemo damage of bladder (finished 6 months...
