Re: Treatment after Kadcyla?

Hi Juls,
Sorry to hear this. Might be an idea to find out about what trials are available. I have heard of promising results from Herceptin + Keytruda, and there is some new formulation of Herceptin...

Re: Long time, no see!

Good to see you back, Ann! And to hear Kadcyla is working so well for you. I am still plodding on with Herceptin every 3 weeks - coming up to cycle 100. Long may it keep working.
Best wishes..... Pam

Re: When should we consider switching Oncologists

Hi Cathy,
I think there are two important things to consider in regard to choice of oncologist - the personal trust/communication factor and an up to date awareness of current developments in the...

Re: almost 14 years NED breast cancer and apparently it's back in my lungs

Thanks Cathy - a great article, summarising the latest advances. Any way you can provide a direct link? I would love to share with my Aussie groups, but am a bit of a Luddite.
Best wishes..... Pam

Re: Cancer 'n Me

Dear Flori,
Your spirit is amazing! I love the humour with which you face even bad problems. It's what keeps us sane. Good luck with the lung stab - will be thinking of you.
Best wishes..... Pam

Re: stage 4 ladies, can use some hope

Hi there,
I am 6 years on and living well. Recently heard from a woman on an Australian forum who is 17 years Stage IV. Quite a few old hands on this too.
Yes, there is always the uncertainty, but...

Whonoze, you are my heroine! 11 years of Herceptin! I have had 6 years of the same and am stable, living well. Not de novo though.
Best wishes to you for many more years..... Pam

So sorry to hear this, Cathy. I hope you are able to start treatment quickly and that it is kind to you - but tough on those mets!

Good luck with the cyber knife procedure. Might be worth finding out about the Her2 Climb study, with ONT 380.

Whoops!

So recently celebratory, but I have just found out that I have fractured a bone in my foot. Too many years of Denosumab and Zometa? So now I am the lucky owner of a stylish black moon boot and am...

Re: Scared and Confused

Katherine,
No experience of brain mets, but there are many others on this forum who should be able to chime in. Also search the threads. There is a lot of hope out there, but I can only imagine how...

Re: Kadcyla ‘n me

Ah Flori - looks like nothing is ever easy! Have heard the SE's settle down after a while and that sometimes it can cause a flare-up, ( as can many new treatments). Soldier on - not much choice...

Re: Trends in tumor markers

I try to ignore such small fluctuations in the tumour markers. When I had progression (bones to liver), my markers soared! Try not to worry too much and , when in doubt, check it out with your...

6 years Stage IV.

Tomorrow is my 6 year Stage IV cancerversary. Today had scans and my kind oncologist emailed me the results - all still stable! Thank the fates (and Slamon) for Vitamin H! While 2012 was a very bad...

Re: Need input, KADCYLA or TAS116?

Good luck with the Kadcyla! Many have got a long time from this, without too many side-effects. It's my next step, even though I dropped out of the original Marianne trial.
Best wishes.... Pam

Re: When to consider ending treatment?

A bit depressing though, Paul. Sometimes I feel "survivor guilt" and others, I just wish it was over - the treatment, I guess i mean. So grateful it is working and hope new advances are equally...

Re: When to consider ending treatment?

Colleen, I feel for you - here in Australia, Herceptin is provided at no cost so I am nearly 6 years on. System isn't perfect by any means though as I can't get free access to Perjeta. Sometimes I...
