Re: Port or No Port?
Update: Tomorrow's the day! I'll get a port put in, then get my first infusion of navelbine, which is a vesicant, a class of drug that can cause severe tissue damage if it leaks out of the IV. My new...

Tiffany,
I'm so sorry about the pneumonia and collapsed lung. That can take a lot out of a person. (I know from personal experience.)
I hope you get a good response to the TDM-1. Most people...

Re: New Plan
Thank you, Joan. Good food for thought.
Hey, all, I've been misspelling the amplification. It's MYC and not MYK. There are various kinds of MYC. They are all oncoproteins.
In my Foundation One...

I can't actually find the link for the MYK trial. I searched for it on the BCT site. I'll update when I know more.

Re: Surprise from my biopsy
My onc doesn't think the PR factor is anything to get excited about. It's too weak.
Also there are no drugs for it. They use the same stuff as for ER+.

Good question, Kat. I'm sure they'll tell me if I go down that road.
Everything out here in "outlier" land is unknown. If I'm going to do a Phase 1 it would be best to do it while I'm relatively...

My oncologist agrees that chemo is a double-edged sword. It can kill the cancer, but it suppresses the immune system, which may hinder Herceptin and Perjeta in doing their job helping my body handle...

Surprise from my biopsy
Hello, friends.
My oncologist recommended that I get a lung biopsy, since cancer mutates and I hadn't had a biopsy in about four years. So I got that done on March 23.
To my relief, the lung...

Re: Kadcyla - Scotland
Juls,
Those stories are kind of scary. If I were you I'd have questions.

Best wishes,...
