Re: Anxiously Waiting
If I understand and am not wrong, a clin trial coordinator I know says that a look at data would be potentially in Nov/Dec at the earliest for TDM1... they have to file a BLA first, and that usually...

Just FYI... I don't know that Theresa is in compassionate use. Is that what you mean?
I do know that just TDM1 is in compassionate use, but yes you would have to be in the city where it is...

So far, I agree with both of y'all. It boils down to targeted and complimentary/integrative. In my humble opinion.

Re: after reading post by Rolepaul on brain mets--repostr 4 those running out of opti
Thanks Lani! I still haven't (and won't) do WBR, we chose 'wack-a-mole' after we did 18 months on Tykerb/Xeloda, with an excellent response to both avenues.
I currently don't show any brain mets,...

Re: Intrathecal (IT) Herceptin (Trastuzumab) for brain mets (Leptomeningeal Metastase
Apparently my post disappeared, but if I am not wrong (and often can be), IT is available anywhere that you have an Onc who does it and insurance covers it. You don't have to find a clinical trial. I...

Re: Intrathecal Herceptin/Topotecan for Leptomeningeal Disease
If I am not misreading this (which I could be...), I believe that intrathecal Herceptin is available at every clinic as an approved treatment, as long as your Onc is doing it and insurance covers it.

Re: Brain MRI
I have NEVER had symptoms or pain. Never. Brain MRIs have helped me diagnose them early and more treatable. I have had more choices re: treatments. Just one girls opinion.

Re: Brain MRI
Always ask for a brain MRI. And if doctor hms and haws, then demand one. Don't wait for the doc to decide you need one, it's often really late in the game. Be your own best advocate!

1. Are these trials for stage IV?
2. Does it cross the BBB?
3. If you have had Herceptin, do you qualify?
