I believe he is correct about only radiating on the spine once, because of potential damage to the spinal cord and surrounding nerves... but I don't know for sure.

Call your local radiological center(s) and ask if they plan to eventually get one of these new machines! It may take a while for them to roll out, since I think the approval was recent. I am guessing...

I wouldn't (and your onc shouldn't or won't) make any determinations without scans... they will probably want you to complete at least 8-12 weeks of treatments first.

I believe the current standard of care is a total of 50gy (gray units) over apx 25...
