I've had my port since May 05, used weekly or more with no problems. I use the lidocaine cream and found that the recommended 45 minutes should be doubled. One and a half hours works well for me....

I'm HER2++, ER & PR negative. I had 5 of 6 every three week carboplatin/taxol and herceptin weekly before my cancer started to progress.
Then we tried Gemzar with Herceptin. My cancer grew twice...
