Flori,
I usually just just follow quietly and admire you from afar. However, tonight I’ll step up and shout out...I think you are one of the strongest, most wise, and compassionate women I’ve ever...

Re: No rant JUST the facts...
I've had two different types of IV iron, Venofer and Injectafer. Both drugs are for iron deficient anemia, but if I remember right, I did at least four infusions of Venofer and only two of Injectafer...

Re: taxotere lawsuit
I have no first hand experience regarding any kind of law suit and hope to remain inexperienced the remainder of my life. However, I am a huge fan of Mike Papantonio. His firm, Levin-Papantonio is...

Re: Decadron-has anyone had this removed from chemo treatments?
I dropped Decadron (dex) when I had chemo. I used it my first cycle of three weeks on, one week off (taxol, carboplatin, Herceptin). I was having more disturbing side effects from the dex than I...

YES on Prop 303! I have the sign promoting passage of it displayed in my front yard. Everyone we (my husband, teenage daughter, and I) have talked to, both liberals and conservatives are in favor of...

Re: Strange side effect from vaccine trial
I am doing the Mayo vaccine trial in Rochester right now, three down, three to go. While I had at least one rum drink on vacation in the Caribbean last month, my prior injection sites did not swell....

Re: Does your chemo nurse let you see the bag before she/he hangs it?
I think you are smart to check the bag before getting infused. I always asked to see the bag before I was infused. I even had a preference for the sequence of drugs. Taxol left a nasty taste in my...

Re: Possible Progression/New Treatment For Liver Mets
I had a Power Port and it was used for everything; blood draws, chemotherapy, contrast for CT scans and MRI's. It was also used for PET/CT scans. I named my port "Violet". It was a purple Power...

Re: Liver biopsy scheduled
I had an ultrasound guided liver biopsy in June of 2010. Even though I was given a local, and a lovely sedative drip, I had to be conscious enough to follow directions...specifically to hold my...

Re: Anyone have the tummy tuck/reconstruction combo? (DIEP)
I had bilateral DIEP reconstruction about 7 weeks ago. I would do it all over again without hesitation...but only with the right surgeon. I had my DIEP surgery six months after MRM. I wouldn't call...

Re: Cancelled reconstruction
I am so sorry this has happened to you. DIEP is a big decision and a roller coaster ride similar to breast cancer treatment. The first two plastic surgeons I met with had egos so big there wasn't...
