Re: Splitting nails
My last chemo treatment was 02/01/2016, last Herceptin on 09/19/2016. My nails still are very brittle, especially those on the middle fingers will split at any excuse. The skin at the outer corner of...

Re: I Guess I just had Bad Luck!
I was an avid endurance athlete. When they did all those scans to check for progression there was not enough fat between internal organs for proper distinction. So I guess now I have in writing that...

Re: How Her2+ BC patients develop brain metastases
Statistics don't apply to individual persons (or actions) ever, they are just data put into a certain perspective.
Since people aren't logical but emotional beings they're not equipped to judge...

Re: Perjeta Side-Effects
Try a foot bath with epsom salts. After taxol your feet will welcome some TLC anyway and it even might help you sleep if you do it before bed time.

Re: Perjeta Side-Effects
Since you mention it: I took frequent baths in epsom salts and supplemented with high pH salt tablets and did not have a lot of trouble going through chemo. Could be coincidence, but the MO agreed it...

Did they give you a reason as to why you should wash you hair only once or twice a week?
Since my hair still is very short, does not feel like it used to, and only now picks up a bit of speed...

Getting Perjeta as first line therapy seems to have been a stroke of luck in all of this: Three month earlier and it most likely would not have happened as per german law.
Still, the future is open...

No port here. They never asked when they took the sentinel lympf nodes and when chemo started the oncologist said I had good veins, we could try and do without. Fine with me, even though veins...
