Fertility drugs may not increase breast cancer risk, say researchers
 
Past research has associated the use of fertility drugs with an increased risk of breast cancer. But a new study from the National Cancer Institute indicates that this may not be the case.The research was recently published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention - a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.

"Women who have used fertility medication and are approaching the typical breast cancer age range should receive ongoing monitoring, according to Brinton. In addition, she says further research is needed to determine the long-term effects of fertility medication prescribed under current practices."

I was told to stop taking the birth control pills right after my BC diagnosis. The birth control pills were prescribed for uterine fibroids which had developed after the failed infertility treatment (3 treatments caused three fibroids :)

No, it's definitely not a good idea to mess with Nature!
