Should I be tested for CYP2D6?
 

Hello all,

Should I be tested for the CYP2D6 gene to know how well I am metobolizing tamxoifen? I am confused by the literature, as some studies show that there is a link between the CYP2D6 gene and others come to a different conclusion. I would appreciate hearing other's views on this subject! Thanks.

my onc said this test was unreliable, I asked my second opinion onc at DF and she said the same thing -
I know some have had it but many docs don't believe in its accuracy
