Interesting. Yet again the data is pre-2007, with diagnosis from 1990 to 1999, follow through 2007.

This ties into the discussion on who progresses to Stage IV. By identifying who is dying, not just how many steps can be taken to address the issue.

In this failure analysis we see that 71% of the women who died were among the unscreened, either never having a mammogram or delaying more than 2 years since the prior one.

Median age was 49 at diagnosis for fatal cancers.

As members of this board, we can not "cure" cancer. We don't have any secret herbs or treatment. But we can ask our friends and family if they have been screened.

More powerful than the pink campaigns are the voices of our experience. Please join me in starting a conversation, educating friends and family about the importance of getting a mammogram, and regular breast exams.
