Just stopping by....
Hello everyone hope this post finds you doing well. I am hanging in there as best I can but I have to admit Sheila's death has taken its toll on me. I know some of you ladies are friends with me on FaceBook and I want to let all of you know that I am OK I deactivated my FB account last night as I need to take time to grieve losses in my life. I originally joined FB at the insistance of my Mother Sheila and I am glad I did I will always treasure the conversations we had but as of late FB has been a source of sadness and pain for me so I need to take a break that's all.

Re: Just stopping by....
I'm so sorry Jenn and if FB is causing you pain (or the talk there) it makes sense to stay off it for now.
I lost my own Mum three years ago next week very suddenly and know how lonely and sad our lives can be without our Mothers and fully understand the need to take some time out for you, its what your Mom would have wanted too. (((((hugs)))) |
Re: Just stopping by....
Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you are. Sorry to hear about your sad times. My mom has been gone for 23 years and I find myself wanting to pick up the phone to call her still. Xo

Re: Just stopping by....
I miss your mom too. I think about her often and really can't still believe she is gone. I hope me saying this doesn't make you feel worse but she was a true friend to me. I looked forward every year being roommates with her in San Antonio, staying up all night just talking about our lives and bitchin' and moaning! I still have her cell phone number in my phone. She is truly missed.

Re: Just stopping by....
Hi Jen -
I do not spend much time on FB myself, but would have wondered. Just do whatever you need to alleviate as much stress as you can. There are some things we CAN control and others we can't, so take that bull by the horns. My father spent most of 2007 in either a hospital or rehab facility and my other stayed with me. She did not have many clothes with her and did buy a few. One of the shirts she wore a lot at that time she put on yesterday. I was not prepared for the ache in my chest, at the sight of that shirt, that stuck with me all day, as I am at her home right now for a while. All the best to you and Jazzy dear one. |
Re: Just stopping by....
Jen, thanks for letting us know how you are doing. You and your family are frequently in my thoughts. Take good care of yourself.
All the best, Hopeful |
