Today is the 11 year Anniversary of this site being officially online. It started 12/24/2001 as an extra special Christmas present from Joe to Christine.

It is actually an extra special gift for all of us.

Happy Birthday! The internet does have some excellent opportunities, and Joe took Christine's idea and gave it wings.
Here is a photo of Joe with Dr. Slamon's wife. She is holding an award given to Dr. Slamon the previous hour. We were all at the good doctor's William McGuire Memorial Lecture front and center.

Happy Anniversary to the Her2support group! Joe's gift to Christine was such a gift to so many of us as well...I was diagnosed in the summer of 2001 and when I found this website a few months later--(this was in the early days of Herceptin and I was taking it in a clinical trial and didn't really know if it was going to work)--this was about the only place I could go to vent my anxiety and find stories of hope and encouragement. Now I'm celebrating my own 11-year anniversary since my diagnosis and will forever be grateful to Joe & Christine and all of you, my her2 sisters, for helping me through those dark days.

I'm a 7.5 year survivor. Ned and continue to visit and check in on all my old and new her2support.org friends. Very thankful for this site.
