Anyone have elevated calcium levels
 

I just got the results of some follow up blood work to recheck my cholesterol and it came back that my calcium is slightly elevated. I asked if this could be related to cancer and she said yes but that she did not think it was so she drew more blood to check the calcium in my blood instead of my bones. Normal is 10.4 and I was 10.7. She said that she would be more concerned if it was at 12 or 14, well of course I am kind of freaking out alittle. Not alot just alittle, lol. When I looked it up of course it said that it could be bone cancer. UGH. I do take alot of vit d and calcium plus d. She told me twice that she did not think it was anything but just needed to be sure. Anyone have this happen to them?

It happened to me. Because of all the calcium I was taking. Sometime the obvious answer is the right one. I bet that will be true for you too! Keep the faith.

I've been reading this wonderful site since 2008 and everyone has helped me so much with information.
I also as of my last 6 month check have high calcium levels in my blood 11.2. My doctor took me off all my calcium supplements except for the 500 that is in my multivitamin. He also directed me to have 1,000 iu of D3 each day. I assume he will recheck at my next 6 month visit. If it was bad news I think he would have wanted to see me sooner.
