Lyrica

Has anyone been on Lyrica long enough to experience its benefits (for neuropathy)?

Thanks,
Karen

Karen,
I certainly hope someone chimes in. After my most recent round of Abraxane my finger nail beds are very sensitive. I guess this is a form of neuropathy. Filing my fingernails is very painful and must be done gently.

I am also stalking the great news on your signature regarding the T-DM1 / Pertuzumab trail you are on. I hear ya sista....NED FOREVER!!!! You are off to a great start.

Thanks, Lori. YOU, too!! Maybe not the same route but the same result!
Many good things coming our way. I want this dis-ease to be nothing more than an ugly memory for all of us.

Re: Lyrica

Karen,

I've been on a low dose of Lyrica for over a year - I take 50 mg. 2x/day. I could go higher, but I am afraid of more weight gain. Between Femara and Lyrica,I have put on too much avoir du pois.

Besides the joint/muscle aches and pains from Femara, I also have fibromyalgia - but I do have to say that I feel better since I have been on the Lyrica. I was on meloxicam, an anti-inflammatory, for over a year, until my GP tried me on the Lyrica. I went off the meloxicam, and started Lyrica. I am hoping that when I am off Femara - coming soon, July 2012 - that some of my aches/neuropathy will settle down. I hope I will be able to lose some weight, and if so, I may increase the Lyrica dosage.

Hope this helps.

all the best
caya

Re: Lyrica

Thanks, all! I felt too loopy on just two pills, so I'm going to try the l-glut that some have recommended. Onco gave stamp of approval. Will report back.

Hello,
I take 75 mg Lyrica at night for a pinched (or dead) nerve in my back due to radiation and it helps tremendouly. It's the number one drug for fibromyalgia.
health and happiness
