Videos of "s[tuff]" various classes of people say have been going around. I'm in seminary, so I especially liked a recent one about seminarians.

This one showing a young woman saying many of the things well-meaning but perhaps a tad insensitive folks say to their friends with breast cancer. I thought it was funny. Maybe I have a sick sense of humor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_7JJrU9HUg

Katherine O'Brien suggested adding some comments specific to stage 4. Mostly those are just jaw-droppers. (In fact, I usually just smile wanly and change the subject when I hear them). One of the more memorable comments in that category was "I have a friend who has stage FIVE cancer."

That is hilarious!! Haven't we all had people say some of those things to us? I just let it go, though I have become brave enough to let students rub my head for good luck. We have to laugh!
