getting worried
Hi
This is just to work off my worries.Hema has been experiencing pain in the lower abdminal region near the vagina. The pain was extreme with pressure but going on and off.The onc when contacted on his mobile presribed a dose of anti fungal pill and also a strong pain killer stronger than tremadol. The cotinuous pain has gone and the pressure also went away. She took only a single dose of the pain killer. For the past week the duration and intensity of the pain was going down .But it has increased from yesterdayand now she wanted a mild pain killer Tylenol. The onc limited the anti fungus pill for 10 days and it was stopped last week. She has her regular appointment tomorrow.I am worried about the pain coming back |
Re: getting worried
I wish you the best today. I'll be praying.
Pleas keep us posted. Denise |

Re: getting worried
Glad you came here to share your concern with us. A worry seems to weigh a little less when we share it.
It is always scary when a new pain or symptom arises. We always think of cancer. But we are still elegible for all the other day to day ailments that are out there. (although I think we should be exempt!) Let us know what you find out. Keep the faith. |
Re: getting worried
It is natural for you to worry about Hema. It helps to share our concern for our loved one with other people, so it is is good that you can share them with us.
I am glad Hema is going to see the doctor tomorrow. I agree with Bonnie. It is natural to think our pain is related to cancer, but sometimes it is from something else, because we still get the other health problems other people get even though we are cancer patients. All the best to you and Hema. Feel free to drop by anytime. I hope Hema feels better soon. |
Re: getting worried
I will keep beautiful Hema in my prayers. Gods blessings to you both!

Re: getting worried
We had the appointment with the obc today. He was of the opinion that the pain was due to urinary infection and has advised 7 more days of the anti fungus medicine and 5 days of a medicine for clearing the urinary track. He advised that if after10 days the pain does not go an abdominal ulttra sound is to be done.I am hoping that it is only the urinary infection and not spreading of the devil.
Thanks for the support from all of you. |
Re: getting worried
Hi PBK
Please make sure Hema drinks a lot of water in order to flush out the UTI bacteria. Cranberry juice may help as well. I hope she feels better soon. all the best caya |
Re: getting worried
I hope Hema feels better soon. If you don't have fresh cranberry juice in your country you might be able to get dried cranberries or cranberries in supplement form. She might be able to have that in addition to what the doctor suggested. Cranberries are a native American fruit that can be found everywhere in the fall in North America.

Re: getting worried
Something the doctors might want to look into is Shingles. I was just diagnosed with this and was told that this is something that doctors don't see alot of so many times goes undiagnosed.

Re: getting worried
PBK-
Please give Hema my best wishes for a quick end to this pain. I'll be praying for her. I had a UTI after my first surgery, and the doctors told me any acidic juice is fine, so if cranberry juice is not available (or, like me, Hema doesn't care for it) orange juice is good too. But mostly, the advice I got was to drink A LOT...and it didn't matter what it was... the idea was to flush out the whole urinary system. I hope Hema feels better soon. And God bless you for all the love and care you provide. You are a fine man! My best to you both! Denise |
Re: getting worried
I hope this pain clears up for Hema soon and send you both my good wishes!
