Liver Mets/Medical Record stories - LBBC
Just received this e-mail from LBBC Publications anna@lbbc.org:
LBBC has several opportunities for you to contribute to upcoming publications. If any of these projects are of interest to you, please respond to the author by Monday, October 3, with your name, age, ethnic background, city/state, and the number of years since your diagnosis. Your words can help inspire others. Liver Mets If you are living with breast cancer that has spread to the liver and are experiencing symptoms related to your diagnosis, we want to hear from you. If you’re interested in being interviewed for our upcoming national newsletter, send an email to robinwarshaw1@verizon.net. Please include a few sentences about your diagnosis, symptoms, treatment and emotional impact. Managing Your Medical Records If you have used various tools to help manage and maintain your medical records, we want to hear from you! The next issue of our national newsletter will educate women on how keeping their own accurate, complete medical records can help them play an active, informed role in their recovery and long-term care while serving as a roll model for loved ones. If you are interested in sharing your story, email Anna Shaffer at anna@lbbc.org. Let Anna know what information you collected, how you obtained it, how you organized it and what tools you used. Share Your Story: Changing Life Focus If being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer changed your life focus, here's your chance to motivate and inspire others in your own words! We'll give you 675 words to write about your story, which is due on Monday, Oct. 10. To be considered, write to Anna at anna@lbbc.org with your name, age, where you live, the number of years since your diagnosis and a few sentences about why you want to participate in the article. Art and Music Therapy Have you used art or music therapy to help you cope with treatment? Tell us how it helped you cope with your emotions during and after your diagnosis. Share with others what type of art or music therapy you engaged in and how you got started. To learn more, contact michael@lbbc.org.
