Women's health advocate dies
 

While reading the notice from Legacy about Joe's guest book messages [will be taken down 8/15], I saw the announcement of the passing of Dr. Bernadine Healy, former NIH Director and pioneer in Women's Health.

We read so often in BC research articles about 'Women's Health Initiatives' - it was spearheaded by Dr. Healy. I used to enjoy reading her columns in U.S. News & World Report. That magazine no longer sells print copies (still available online), and now Dr. Healy lost her brain cancer battle...

I also saw the message about Joe Jackie but missed this about Dr Healy and thanks for posting, she was an amazing woman and I'm sorry she's no longer with us.
