Did Chemo Awaken Old Scar Tissue In Your Body?
 

When I was a child, a glass Coke bottle exploded and landed on the top of my foot and opened it, severing a nerve. It was stitched up and that was that. It's a very sensitive area, and I can't wear strapped sandals or other shoes that will go over the scar area. Have noticed that it has been tingling and giving me that grossly sick feeling when sensitive scars are touched. I've heard that any area previously traumatized will resurface when chemo hits. Any experience?

I'm not sure I'd experienced similar problems. I did have some 'tingling' feelings during chemo. But I would think it's probably related to the 'nerve-ending' issue. The nerve endings could have gotten damaged by the chemo and caused the old wound to become 'sensitive'.

Regular exercise should fix the problem as the nerve impulses can 'synapse' and reconnect to each other.
