one year after diagnosis
Hema was diagnosed on 10th March 2010 and chemo started on 16th March.Herceptin 4th April. Now we are in the Tykerb-Xeloda stage
Onc's visit on 4th March.Tykerb-Xeloda till end of June No need for any scan now.She is permitted to do a little bending and work in the kitchen without lifting heavy cookers etc.I drive her to the beach in the evenings and she walks in the paved walking area for about 20mts Best of all I wanted to take her away from ourChennai Hot Summer of >100s in May.I have been allowed to take her for a week to a cooler place in May with an appointment immediately on return.WE are planning to be back after a weeks trip on 12th May.Blood test on the 13th and Onc's visit on 16th May I am hoping the improvement will continue with the moral support of all of you Best of luck |

Re: one year after diagnosis
Congratulations to your wife for making it through one year of treatment. You are a good husband to help her around the house, so she can get more rest. Those evening walks sound very nice. Enjoy your May trip.
Many more years of togetherness for you and your wife. |

Re: one year after diagnosis
Pbk - I received the pathology report diagnosing breast cancer one year ago today (3/9). The pathologist said to me "you have a difficult year ahead but at the end of it you will be fine". And, thank God, he was right. And most of the credit for my current well-being belongs to my husband, Dale. He pushed, pulled, carried and bullied me through the rough times and treatments. But he was always right there beside me - Hema is very blessed to have you with her and we all wish you the best and continuing improvement.
