Length of treatment wiith Zometa

Does anyone know how long those of us with bone mets should be treated with Zometa? My onc say's usual course of tx is one year.
Any info. greatly appreciated.

I have been having Zometa since 2007 and my bone mets are stable. I now have it about every 6 weeks. My onc doesn't seem to have any intention of stopping it. Will be interested in what others say.
