update on Hema
After over a year we went out for dinner at a mediterranean Rest last week and she really enjoyed it.
She had her ultra sound and X-Ray yesterday and I collected the reports today The Ultra sound gives a bit of good news that the lesions in the liver have shrunk in the last 4 months The XRay report confirms the continuance of the sclerotic lesions in the ribs She has her appointment with the Onc pn 6th Jan and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Onc will give some good news Seasons greetings to all |
Re: update on Hema
Thank you for the update. How nice to have gotten out for dinner together. It's the little things that are special.
Keep the faith. |
Re: update on Hema
I am so glad you and your wife were able to go out and enjoy dinner together in a restaurant. It is wonderful.
May you both have peace, health and joy in 2011. |
Re: update on Hema
That was so wonderful that you were able to go out to a nice dinner together. We all need to do something fun once in awhile. There are many of us who are going to see our onc in January. I hope we all receive good reports. Best Wishes, Mary L

Re: update on Hema
Thanks for the update and while it's mixed results it's good to know the liver lesions have shrunk and you both got a chance to celebrate.
Sending positive vibes for more good news in Jan! |
Re: update on Hema
I am so happy for you and Hema going out to dinner. I'm wishing Hema continued improvement on shrinking the lesions. Wishing you both a Happy New Year.

Re: update on Hema
Hi, PBK
So glad you checked in to let us know the good news and that you got out to enjoy a special evening out. I am also Stage IV, mets to liver...so we have that in common. I get my next scans on 1/28. Remember the treatment is slow and steady. Hang in there. Does Hema have any pain in the liver area where the lesions are shrinking? I did/do. I use a heating pad which was recommended by one of my nurses and it made a big difference. Where are you located? |
Re: update on Hema
Dear KDR
She had pain. But the Onc advised her to take 2 Pan Ds one in themorning on an empty stomach and one in the afternoon and that seems to work |
Re: update on Hema

Re: update on Hema
So glad you have had some good news and good times. I too have bone and liver mets and have had them for the last four years. I had good news today too as my tumour markers (Ca 15-3) had dropped substantially since last test in late October. Hope you get more good news from the onc.

Re: update on Hema
I am so glad Hema is able to visit her mom.
Since she is taking Tykerb and Xeloda she should be able to take her medications during her trip. Please tell her to relax and enjoy her time with her mom. |
