Thank you all for concerns and birthday wishes! I've been fighting a computer virus and besides I've had pnuemonia. The pnuemonia is good news, though, 'cause at first they thought the water in my lungs was because of more congestive heart failure and I would have to stop the herceptin. I did have to skip several infusions. I am doing better, although a ca-27/29 test in November showed my tumor markers are rising again, up to the 90's. They were 131 in July, then dropped to 80 in September. So we may have to add chemo back to the herceptin, maybe gemzar, since the navelbine that worked in 2006 is causing all kinds of weird side efects this time. I am still having weakness, nausea and problems eating anything---which is especially no fun over the holidays! But my spirit is strong and I still believe in Faith over Fear! I appreciate you all so much and all the information and love and prayers you share. I'll try to post more, and will let you know what direction we go. Merry Christmas to you all! Whoever thought there would be a day when we considered pneumonia "good news"!! lol
Seriously, so glad it was nothing more and can be treated.
Hoping you have restful holidays and can at least enjoy a nice fattening eggnog.

Belated birthday wishes! I have been away in Texas and had limited access and time to check all the posts.

Very glad to hear that you are feeling so much better. Hope that the poor appetite will give way to the temptations of the holiday feasting.

I am so happy you dropped by for a visit and an update.
Do take care of the pnemonia though. Pnemonia can hang around if we don't take care of it. I guess pnemonia is better than something cancer related though.
Too bad you are not visiting me. I just made a big pot of fresh barley, bean, veggie soup (everything, but the kitchen sink soup) !! I am having some for lunch and freezing the rest for a later time. Soup is so comforting and healthy. Too bad I can't give you a big bowl of it.
Anyway, good luck with the Herceptin and Gemzar.
I hope it knocks those tumor markers down.

Tricia, it's always lovely to get an update from you but sorry you have'nt been feeling well, I hope you feel better very soon and so glad it's something "Treatable" despite your discomfort:) xx

It is so nice to hear from you, but I'm so sorry to hear you've had pnuemonia. I hope the gemzar works well for you. My Mother had advanced lung cancer and was on that gemzar...she did really well on it and it didn't seem to have to many SE's. Hopefully it will be the same for you and most of all it kicks cancers behind. I know you have alot going on but heres wishing you the best over the Holidays. Take care of yourself...and thanks so much for checking in with us. :) You really are such an inspriation to me!
