FDA Approves Denosumab (Xgeva) for bone mets!
Great news for us gals with bone mets - the FDA today approved Denosumab (brand name will be Xgeva) for cancers that have metastasized to the bones. According to my onc, Denosumab is a bigger better drug than Zometa - more effective, less side effects. It will be administered once a month in a shot to the arm.
So we're going to give it a roll and see how it goes! Stay tuned... To read the FDA press release, visit: http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsro.../ucm234346.htm |

I'm so glad for you Courtney and hope it goes well for you:)
I read a report recently where this drug may be given for osteoprosis, and intend to ask my onc about it when I see her in Dec, anyone else having it for this? |
