Have you had an ECHO the day after Herceptin?
 

I've had two mixed up's on my ECHO appt...their fault not mine. It's getting pass due because they keep rescheduling it. So now they just called again (Saturday) and said they can get fit me in this Tues. for my ECHO. But my concern is I have my Herceptin infusion on Monday. I'm not sure if having my ECHO the day after Herceptin is such a good idea?

Has anyone here had their ECHO done the day after Herceptin with no problems? I ususally have my ECHO's two wks after my Herceptin just to play it safe.

They always scheduled mine for around two weeks after herceptin too, not sure if it makes a difference but hope someone else knows!

I had heard its best to wait until just before a Herceptin treatment but it just may be coincidence that this is bad. Perhaps it is bad if you are on the edge.

I know there was a post on this at some point. Maybe someone else will chime in.

My mother's had hers done just 2-3 days after having herceptin. It's never been too low. She's on a weekly infusion.

That is normally how my ECHO's have always been scheduled. I called them back today so it's now scheduled for 11 days after...that should be ok this one time. Thanks to all of you that replied.

Twice I have had my echo done on the Thursday following herceptin on the Wednesday. Had no problems either time, in fact the last time it happened it was better than ever before!! Figure that out?Maybe vit h doesn't kick in til a couple of days after infusion.
