Her2 Friends,

I started my new protocol: 12 weeks of Taxol and one year of Herceptin. I am still battling that bad Rash from Armidex. I tried a week of steroids but that did not help with the Rash.

Last weeks Taxol caused numerous mouth/throat sores. ny suggestions for this?

Staying strong from all the support and encouragement from my Her2 family and fiancee- Sam. Our wedding will be on November 6...........We both reside at Midway Rehabilitation Center and plan on staying during my year of treatment.

Ah, Wedding bell, how exciting! Congratulations!

There're a coupld of threads about mouth sores that can be retrieved by using the 'Search' function on top.

Several of us were given the The magic wash(maalox, lydocaine, benedryl) Please call your local pharmacy and check with your oncology nurse or oncologist.

It's not fun. I remember the 'sore' days. But the magic wash worked for me.

Be sure to take your multiple vitamin... And try to eat well.

Congratulations to you and Sam. I am very happy for you both. May you have a long and happy marriage.
Good luck with your new treatment. Perhaps you would like to see a dermatologist who is familiar with cancer treatments for the rash.
