Milestones and Nerves
 

I had exciting week last week. Got my port removed, and after the Susan G Komen Race in our area, took all my various medications used throughout treatments and participated in the local police "turn in the drugs" campaign. Threw the whole lot in the bin and said "Goodbye 2009!"

Glad to have the chapter closed, but know the book really isn't over. Have another followup mammogram in a few weeks--hoping all is status quo at this point.

I also felt wonderful when my port was removed and although the future was'nt certain it made me feel empowered and the cancer was behind me:)
