I vote for painless (which the report says this machine is). The only non-painful screenings I have had have been in the past two years. The others were horrendous. Course it possibly was the first indicator of my cancer. But most of the earlier images were probably impossible to read because some technician kept telling me to move in closer and stop shaking (and then repeated it again and again which only made it hurt worse and me shake more). Maybe it's not that way for most women? Or maybe it's only recently that I've found technicians who knew what they were doing?

Thanks for that link Rich! http://her2support.org/vbulletin/pic...&pictureid=146 This is what I'm talking about - researchers need to keep moving forward and not "settle" for the status quo! So even though I don't agree with the new guidelines - I AM grateful that it has opened the pandora's box and started a huge discussion!
