Good Reports...but lung saga still in the mix

Went to the onc today and was pleased to hear that my recent mri of brain, ct of abdomen and pelvis, and bone scan were all clear. The doc wants to continue with the xeloda and tykerb for that pesky nodule for 2 months more and then add herceptin if it does not decrease. I am relieved on the whole. I asked if the herceptin and tykerb were a proven combo and he said not yet, but wants to go that route. I guess we will see what the months ahead bring. Ceesun

Good to hear the wonderful news. I've read that Tykerb is a smaller molecule and can target stuff that Herceptin (molecule is much bigger)couldn't reach. Glad you have a doctor who's confident enough to try new method. I look forward to hearing another good result from you soon.

Ceesun,

You're doing very good.

I'm sending thoughts your way to shrink that lung node.

Hugs,

Joan
