Maura Tierney (Abby from ER) breast cancer
 

I just read that Abby from Er had to cancer her new show due to breast cancer. Has anyone heard what kind she has? It must be bad if she cancelled her show. She is 44.

I had heard she had discovered a lump and was slated for surgery, but have not heard anything further. BC is not respecter of position.

In early July, her publicists announced the start of her series, Parenthood, would be delayed to midseason due to an "undisclosed illness." The most recent info says she is dropping out of the show to continue bc tx:http://www.afterellen.com/blog/dorot...ncer-treatment
