Taxol and IBS
 

Dear friends:

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'd like to know if anyone of you have experienced IBS while on Taxol.

I've had 5 treatments so far and for the last 3 days I have been bleeding after using the bathroom. I'm also experiencing a little itch down there. No, it's not colon cancer. I just had a study done and it come back clear.

I google to see if I could find any info to no avail.

I appreciate any advice/information/own experience on this issue.

I developed internal hemorrhoids while on Taxotere. With the Heparin being used to clear my port, I was wiping away blood after exercise. Also, anal fissures will bleed.

Perhaps slowly adding more fiber to your diet would help.
