Made the Birminham news and inspirational story
My tennis team went to sectionals in Birmingham last week and we were interviewed by the Birmingham newspaper about the trials that our team has gone through with cancer. While I was there I met another beautiful young lady who came up to me and said that she was also a breast cancer survivor..10 years out. She was diagnosed stage IIIC, Her2+++, ER/PR+ 10 years ago. She was not able to get Herceptin back then and has never been on it. She has been in remission since then and looks wonderful, great shape and playing tennis. She went to Sloan Kettering back then. I just found her to be so inspiring, that she's doing so well without herceptin. The link to our video is below. The newpaper article link is below the video in purple. I'm the one in the pink hat. The reporter hit me with this emotional question without any warning and I was trying not to cry in the video. We had a great trip though...sherryg
