Arimidex and weight gain
 

I have been on Arimidex about a year now, and even though I have been exercising and watching diet I have had weight gain. It have had some of the other side effects, but overall managable. I have consider switching to Aromasin which doesn't seem to have weight gain as a side effect. Has anyone switch from Arimidex to Aromasin - has side effects increased/decreased? Appreciate any info. Thanks.

hi there, I am on aromasin. There has been some issues. I have had some weight gain but i was slower coming out the gates with exercise(10pds). I also have more noticeable joint aches. Once i'm moving it seems to disappear. So I guess this AI is tolerable for me. Every one is different. Good luck, let us know how your doing.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess there is really no easy answer to any of this. I have to get use to "normal" having a different meaning and focus on overall staying healthy. Probably either AI will have similar impact.

I have experienced weight gain while on arimidex...and ice cream...hmmm any correlation ya think??!!

I have also gained weight on arimidex even though
I exercise and watch what I eat. It just slowly goes
up and up and also have the joint pain and stiffness
which is better when I get going. I have been on
arimidex almost 3 years. I guess this is just another
side effect and I am grateful to have physical therapy.
