Herceptin and Navelbine: Timing important?

Mom is likely to move on to adding Navelbine to Herceptin. Anyone heard of any synergies to benefit in terms of sequence/timing of administration?

I have been on Navelbine + Herceptin for over 2 years. Navelbine is 3 weeks on/1 week off and Herceptin is once every 3 weeks. This combo has kept my scans relatively clean for all this time. I do think that it is the combination of the 2 drugs that has kept things stable for me.

Good Luck.

Herceptin and Navelbine: Timing important?

I took Herceptin and Navelbine. I had Herceptin every week and Navelbine for 3 weeks with a break on the 4th week. I had very few side effects. The main side effects were being tired and having the runs the day after my treatment, but I was fine for the rest of the week.

I am on Navelbine right now with Herceptin...I get mine (both drugs) every 2 weeks....so far i have tumor shrinkage in 3 treatments.....I find it easy to take, with the exception of being more tired

I took the two together every 2 weeks and did really well on them together. I think I got the navelbine first and then followed by the herceptin. My marker numbers went down with them together, even though I had had lots of others. I've always "thought" they were the nail in the coffin for Mr. C!
When I was little and had rheumatic fever, they always had to give me tons of stuff to have any effect at all. I just had this feeling when I showed up at the clinic that it would be the same with Big C. Turned out to have worked for now. But the numbers shifted the most with H & N.
Best wishes, ma
