Biopsy Results
Well, not the news I wanted. The back rash is positive for bc. So, I am on to Xeloda/Tykerb starting tomorrow.
Hopefully I will tolerate this well and it will do the trick. Tonya |
I am sorry and will pray for you. Have faith the meds will help.
|
Oh Tonya I'm so soory it wasn't the news you wanted. I pray that new combo drug's work you.
|
Tonya,
I will be lifting you up in prayer that your new combination of drugs is the one, two punch that rotten bc needs to go down for the final count! |
Well Tonya, certainly not the news you wanted to hear. Sorry to hear that. But it is information that you needed so that you can take action.
Tykerb/Xeloda is a great combo, one that many on this forum have done quite well with. There are side effects, of course, but most people are able to tolerate it quite well. You will need a schedule as one Tykerb needs to be taken on empty stomach, Xeloda with food. You should know that dosage adjustments are pretty common, so don't be afraid to try this if you need to. Also, remember that one of the side effects of Tykerb is skin rash - so if you develop this, it could be a GOOD sign, not a worsening of what you've got going on. You will do fine, hopefully the T/X will smack the recurrence down, and good for you for getting it checked out so you can deal with it. Much love Chris |
Tonya,
So sorry that you have to deal with something else. But glad you were on top of things and I just know this combo be will be a good one for you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm sorry the right answer was nothing but wrong. You will handle this set back with your new treatment plan.
I wrap my arms around you. |
Dear Tonya,
I. too, had those mets on my back 4 years ago. I took taxol and avastin and did radiation all at the same time to wipe them out. Please don't worry, I know this isn't the news you wanted (and I'm sorry for that) but I feel you still have a lot of options and I always believe in prayer and miracles. Hang in there, sweet sister, things are going to be OK. Much love, vickie |
Tonya,
Bummer. Hugs to you on this unwanted journey. Love the testimonials above. So many wise and wonderful friends we all have. Catherine |
I was sorry to hear the bad news. However, the new combo could end up working very well for you.
I can remember taking them. At first it was challenging to get my digestive diet right, other than that my body seemed to make the adjustment quite easily. |
Tonya,
Repeat after me: "The new combo will work." Say it to yourself at least 10 times a day, it will boost your endorphine and improve your immune system... |
Tonya, I certainly was hoping for better news. I am so sad but I believe in the new treatment. You will be able to fight back!
|
Tonya,
Sorry you did not get the news you wanted to hear. Sending prayers your way. Amelia |
