Post Herceptin Symptoms???

I am not sure if this is Herceptin related or not. A little history before the question. I finished tx. in Dec '08 (Yippy skippy!!!). In spring '08 I did Taxol/Herceptin. Did the fake menopaus/hot flashes during Taxol. I am 43 and my periods returned in July. A little irregular at first but regular for the last 5 months. Just since stopping Herceptin in Dec. I am having mild hot flashes (not as intense as last spring) and my labido is "flat" and I skipped this month on my period.

Now for the question. What have your experiences been with symptoms post Herceptin? I tried the search but am not very good at it. If there is a thread about this please direct me to it.

Thanks to everyone here for the information and caring I have been reading for the past year. I hope in the future that I can be as helpful to others as you have been to me.

I started a thread in June 2006 which has had 419 posts and 26,254

hits/ It is under the forum about Herceptin/Tykerb and starts with "Please post your two cents...

People have contributed their symptoms (whether solely due to Herceptin or not) both on the drug and once off.

Enjoy reading it/adding to it!

Had similar, but onc does not think herceptin related

Apparently periods can come back for a bit after chemo and then just stop. You could have a test done to see what your hormonal levels are like and a bone density scan if you really have undergone chemopause.

Thanks :)

Thanks Lani and Christine. This sure isn't the body I used to know.
